Supermarkets are the biggest culprits for food miles and waste. This needs to change and they need to take responsibility
Does that include the emissions created during production also?

So the best thing to do is eat local produce. Do you think there is a large enough farming industry in England to support a shift towards this?
no... it's only for the transport. it is a crazy amount and rather shameful i think. the farming industry in England is no where big enough, but this is where we as individuals have to become a little bit more responsible for our actions... or otherwise look into GM?!?... but that's a whole new debate.
